The drive-in shelving system loads and moves from the same side, creating a last in, first out (LIFO) inventory management system, which is ideal for intensive mass storage consolidation of similar products.

The pallets are stored back-to-back without aisles, allowing for particularly dense storage. For products not sensitive to time or date, or for fast-moving pallets that rotate frequently, this type of system is an excellent solution.

Unlike the drive-in system, the drive-through system always requires an additional aisle, thereby eliminating certain pallet positions and reducing dense storage space.

Pallets are loaded from one side and unloaded from the other to create a first in, first out (FIFO) inventory retrieval. The forklift can enter from any channel.

The rigidity of the drive-through rack comes from its overhead support or binding with the overhead structure. It is an excellent choice for freezers, providing low-cost, large-capacity storage and ensuring inventory turnover.
